Solvency II calculations and reporting

Magellan

The “Annual quantitative reporting templates (QRTs)” module

The reporting workflow is designed to be educational. Its aim is both to meet the regulatory requirement to submit reports to the ACPR and to involve operational teams in the calculation stages, helping them understand how the standard formula works.

Reports are produced step by step, risk by risk, with systematic explanations of the risks considered and the calculation methods required by the standard formula.

  1. At the end of each stage, the reports for the risk considered can be downloaded in Excel format.
  2. At the end of the process, all regulatory reports can be downloaded as a single Excel file.
  3. Once the Excel reports have been validated, conversion to XBRL can also be performed online.

All regulatory changes — new reports, changes to existing reports or parameters — are handled in real time by GRCA, without users having to install any updates. The solution also continues to evolve in response to user feedback.

Portfolio analysis and management

Etudata

Etudata is a data analysis and reporting tool designed for insurance undertakings and mutual insurers.

It enables users to analyse and visualise data from the organisation’s information systems, including through dashboards, technical indicators and interactive charts.

The solution facilitates the analysis of insurance portfolios, the monitoring of their evolution over time and the identification of demographic or technical characteristics of insured populations.

In particular, it enables users to produce and analyse technical indicators used to manage insurance activities, such as claims-to-premiums ratios and combined ratios.

Etudata features

  • Portfolio analysis using different segmentation criteria: cover, product ranges, age groups, geographical areas or any other relevant variable.
  • Calculation and visualisation of claims-to-premiums ratios and combined ratios, including by cover, product range, age group or portfolio segment.
  • Production of summary indicators relating to contracts, members and covered individuals.
  • Analysis of portfolio demographics.
  • Analysis of portfolio changes, including flows of new members, departures and transfers.
  • Visual presentation of data through dashboards and interactive charts.

The solution is accessed through a secure interface that allows authorised users to view the available dashboards and analyses.
